Privacy Notice
1. About this notice
VP Technology Ventures LLC (“VP Technology Ventures”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller of the personal information described here. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry form we collect your first and last name, work email address, company name, job title, country, and — if you choose to provide it — your phone number and location details such as city, state/region and ZIP/PIN code, plus the engagement model you are interested in and anything else you write to us.
- Information collected automatically. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, collected through server logs and, where used, cookies or similar technologies.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and fulfil the request you submitted;
- to contact you about the services you expressed interest in;
- to operate, secure, maintain and improve this website;
- to keep records of consents and communications; and
- to comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
Where consent is the basis for processing (for example, the consent checkbox on our enquiry form), you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our business, on performance of a contract, or on legal obligation.
4. Marketing communications
We may send you information about services similar to those you enquired about. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us at the address below. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
5. Sharing your information
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers who act on our instructions (for example, hosting, email delivery, and customer relationship management providers), under contracts requiring confidentiality and appropriate safeguards;
- professional advisers such as auditors, lawyers and insurers;
- authorities, regulators or courts where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
- an acquirer or successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or restructuring.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where personal information is transferred out of your jurisdiction, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections recognised under applicable law.
7. Retention
We retain enquiry information only as long as needed for the purposes described above — typically for the duration of our discussions and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping — and then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
8. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a decision we make about your request. California residents may also request details of the categories of personal information collected, used and disclosed, and will not be discriminated against for exercising their rights. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Cookies
This website may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function, and — where enabled — analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
11. Third-party sites
Our website may link to third-party sites. This notice does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy notices separately.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page.
